I have only the one at the moment - Ruger (Hamptonlea Ruger Run) but we will have a new addition at the end of next month (Aug) little Remi who is a lemon and white bitch. I will be showing both of them now - which will be fantastic and looking very much forward to it. Myself in partnership with Lisa Hampton will breed from them later on down the track.

English foxhounds are still very rare at the moment in the show circuit, but they seem to be gaining popularity. At the major state shows there is at least 7 or so different dogs beening shown. We got into the breed by chance actually. My partner and I decided that we would get a dog and I wanted a greyhound (which I have grown up with as my father use to race them) and my other half wanted a labrador. Neither of us wanted the other's preference so we searched around on the internet and stumbled across the Foxhound. We then researched on the breed and because they are known as a friendly breed and great with children (which we will be planning for in the future) we went and searched for a breeder. We found Lisa Hampton, who breeds them in the state of New South Wales and purchased one off her. We actually contacted a breeder who was closer to home but she was extremely rude and didn't want anything to do with us.
It is Lisa's site that I posted a link to, so I wouldnt be able to give permission to use all the photos from the site, but I have attached some of my personal photos that you can use.Lisa Hampton is a fantasic breeder - she sent us photos every week of the puppies from when they where 3 days old until the time we got Ruger and we still are in contact every week. She is about to do a repeat mating of Ruger's parents - Grand Champion Houndspride Rulas Reign and Australian Champion Foxhunt Katchpenny and I know that she has sent Foxhounds to England in the past.

Learning  that their noses rule their minds and they will steal any comfortable position like the couch or bed in a flash. How is your new addition going? Would love to see photos of her. Ruger is the biggest smootch, but can be very stubborn when he wants to. He is the offical welcome wagon for all who come to the house and can be very protective of me if I am at home all alone - to the point if you get past the bark he will lick anyone to death. He isn't agressive which I have heard of and experienced some more edgy foxhounds from other breeders, and all of  Lisa's dogs are the most placid friendly things you could meet.
enjoy the photos. Talk soon,Lisa & Damien

Meet Jo and Jack Best
jo informs me jack is a friendly happy hound who loves his k.9 friends and his family. he's two and a half old lemon and white hound. from a farm near where jo lives.
Jo also tells me he's not too keen on agility so she is looking for a new sport they can do together. I've suggested hunting the clean boot as all of my lot enjoy it. looking forward to see how training comes on with them both.

Zoe and Daisy

Zoe contacted me after getting her Ex Pack Foxhound from Many tears, she wanted to know how to improve their relationship, daisy settled in really well and was great with Zoe's son, Daisy biggest problem has she didn't ant to be left behind when her family was going out, and would escape.
With time, training, love and care, from Zoe and her dog walker they have worked hard to help Daisy settle and cope with life.
We at Mad About Foxhounds  are really proud of you both working hard together to make sure that this hound wasn't another foxhound to come into rescue.  hope you have long, happy years together,
