  1. Hi,
We have 3 foxhounds - all of whom we have adopted from the Dogs Trust.

The 2 eldest ones are from a pack - the bitch is still very nervous & has obviously been abused & the male is just happy to have a loving home. Both dogs have settled in well & are very loving. Our 3rd foxhound is still young (3 yrs old) and has spent half of his life at the Dogs Trust. The youngster has settled in very well.
I would recommend Foxhounds as pets - It may take a bit of time for them to settle into a home environment but once they do, you'll have a loyal, loving friend for life.

  4. If anyone is thinking of rescuing a foxhound I HUGELY recommend it! I adopted Purdy 3 years ago when she was 8 months old from F.A.I.T.H Animal Rescue in Norfolk - her photo is still on their website and on mine. She is so friendly and fun-loving and a great companion who gets on with every one. I have a lurcher too, Lewis, and they are devoted to each other. Great website, regards, Ruby

  5. Hi Jackie

Just a quick note to thank you for pairing us with Bradford. He has certainly had his moments but with your help and support we have overcome the obsticles associated with a nervous/mistreated dog. We have got to know him over the past 5 motnhs and are very very happy with him. Deep down he is a big lazy bones!! But Barnie the border collie keeps him on his toes. His favourite place is in front of the fire, the hotter the better!!! he is also partial to pulling down any clothing hung on radiators and curling up into a tiny ball on top of them. We would not be without him now. If we had the space I would have a whole pack of hounds. I would urge anybody interested in owning a hound to listen to Jackie and understand the breed with this as a basis you cant go wrong. Keep up the good work, If ever you have a dog that needs emergency care in our area just let us know and we will try to help all we can. Or if you are passing and fancy a drink. Best wishes for a lovely christmas with the lucky hounds with you now xxx

  6. Jackie, hi
Just want to say thank you so much for all the support you have given me so that I can understand my rescue foxhound, Daisy, and help her stay with our family. It means so much to me to be able to find a way through with her as I've fallen in love with her so much and you've been brillant!!!

  7. Hello Jackie and pack,
We are sorry for your loss. We met Daredevil, Penny and you at Discover Dogs last November they both were a credit to you,
Friendly, happy and active they put on a great show I cant believe your bad luck, losing just a credit to the breed as Daredevil seemed to be,
Emily especially enjoyed meeting the hounds, she told everyone in her class at school about her day at Discover Dogs.
    Our thoughts are with you

  8. Hello, love the website, keep up the good work. We am currently searching for a young female Foxhound and this website has been great, I thought that perhaps we could adopt Molly, but we and Molly are not the perfect match. The bloodhound gene Molly has is too strong for our life style. Good luck to Molly, she is a lovely girl, a good friend waiting to be found. Hope you are able to draw attention to other deserving Foxhounds in need of forever homes.
